Superman vs. The Elite is the Direct To DVD Superhero Traditional Animated 14th featured film in DC Universe Animated Original Movies film series.
The film is based on the DC Action Comic No 775 'What's So Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way?' This story was published in DC Comic on March 2001. Joe Kelly is the writer of the comic 'What's So Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way?' and also the writer of this film.
This film is directed by 'Michael Chang' and it released on '12th June 2012' in USA on DVD and Blu-ray.
In an interview with the writer 'Joe Kelly', He had express his dedication towards the problems of real world, He had added that he takes the problems which people are facing in real world but don't express there problem to any one. He had tried to show some of the problems with his comic and now he want to show it with this film. He also said that as he had written the comic story long time ago but he feel easier to write it again because of Alan Burnett has helped him in focusing the center point of the story.
In the interview when he was asked that "Is there Is Any Changes In The Story, when comparing to the comic story", Joe replied that the audience who had not read the comic story can also easily understand the film story because it is based on the real world problems.
Story:-
A new superheros crusaders called them self as "The Elite", Suspect Superman way towards crime. They don't fear any one, think them self as a new Superheros, haves no boundaries, ready to kill and destroy in huge amount till villains are at there breaking point. Will this is the end of Humanity.
The Elite is lead by 'Manchester Black', he is an antihero.
