Story:-
When California girl Susan Murphy is unwittingly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk on her wedding day, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall. Alerted to the threat of this new monster, the military jumps into action and Susan is captured and secreted away to a covert government compound. There, she is renamed Ginormica and placed in confinement with a ragtag group of other monsters: the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link; the gelatinous and indestructible B.O.B.; and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus. Their confinement is cut short, however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country. In a moment of desperation, The President is persuaded by General W.R. Monger to enlist the motley crew of Monsters to combat the Alien Robot and save the world from imminent destruction. (Source)

Half-ape, half-fish, The Missing Link is the missing link between prehistorical man and our undersea ancestors. The ancient fish man was in the process of evolving - basically from his lagoon to the shore - when he was hit smaok by the Ice Age and instantaneously frozen. Eone Later, he was thawed and tried to return to his lagoon, unfortunately it was now a resort and he had no choice but to terrorize the patrons. After 50years in a secret military prison, he's still full of macho bravado but he soon discover he's seriously out of shape.

Personality:-
--- He's proud of his status as a survivor, and proud of his monsterness.
--- He's a jook who's gone to seed; a little out of shape, but oblivious to it.
--- He can swim through any liquid at high-speed, and breathe underwater.

'Insectosaurus' - Voice by 'Conrad Vernon'

Overview:-
Name: Insectosaurus
Power: Super--sized with the ability to shoot silk out of his nostrils.
Origin: Transformed by nuclear radiation from a one inch grub to a 350 foot monster with a taste for Japanese cities.

Destructive Potential: Can chew - and stomp - his way through any city

Profile:-
Nuclear radiation turned a baby grub into a 350-foot-tall monster, who immediately laid waste to Tokyo. He did't mean to be so destructive, he was actually just using the skyscrapers to teeth. He speaks in unintelligible roars which only his good friend The Missing Link can understand. With his massive size and the ability to shoot silk from his nostrils, he's a formidable grub.

'B.O.B' - Voice by 'Seth Rogen'

Name: Bicarbonate Ostylezene Benzoate
Power: Indestructible gelatinous mass
Origin: Spontaneously created by the accidental sixture of a genetically altered tomato and a ranch-flavored dessert topping.

Destructive Potential: Mindless obliteration with an insatiable appetite.

Profile:-
The amorphous and semi-opaque B.O.B. is the resulting cross between a genetically-altered tomato with a chemically-altered, ranch-flavored dessert topping. He is an indestructible gelatinous guy with an insatiable appetite. BOB might not have a brain - literally, he has no brain - but he is the heat of the team, even thought, technically he doesn't have a heart either. He may not be the brightest monster around but in the end it's BOB who has the simplest and smartest plan.

Personality:-
--- BOB has no brain, therefore no filter. whatever he thinks is said immediately.
--- He doesn't have an agenda, so is easily swayed. This also makes him somewhat empathetic.
--- He is the most benign of the monsters as he's not really smart enough to be downright evil. On the other hand, he can't really tell right from wrong.

'Susan Murphy/Ginormica' - Voice by 'Reese Witherspoon'

Name: Ginorsica aka Susan Murphy
Power: Radiates pure energy, giving her enormous strength and size. impervious to nuclear and atomic forces.
Origin: Just before her wedding, she was hit by a meteor filled with a strange substance that mutated her DNA, Causing her to grow at the altar into a 49 foot 11 inch tall woman.

Destructive Potential: With the power of 10,000 women, she can wreck an entire city blockwithout breaking a nail.

On the day she was supposed to marry local weatherman Derek Dietl, Susan Murphy is hit by a meteor from outerspace. This somewhat meek and unassertive small town girl is suddenly five stories tall and unimaginably strong. Despite her size and strength, she doesn't see herself as a monster, and desperately wants to return to her previously uneventful life. Serious, dignified and only somewhat dense, The President does not want to down in history as the president in office when the world came to an end. So he quickly agrees when General Monger's plan to have monsters fight the aliens. If they win, he'll look like a genius, and if they lose... well no one will miss them.

Name: General W.R. Monger

Destructive Potential: With right wars and three missile crises under his belt, he's ready for anything, be it monster or alien.

For gruff, grizzled General Monger, actions speak louder than words, but an all-out, full-weapon assault speaks loudest of all. he considers the monsters in captivity beyond hope, but when Gallaxhar's robot defeats every form of defense the country has, he is left with little choice but to release then and hope for the best. Eventually, the monsters earn his respect, and he, theirs.
